Things have gone very well at Meridian at Cambridge so far, we have been very impressed! The facility is clean and well kept, the staff are friendly, and from what I have seen the food looks very good! I'd give them top marks across the board, the residents seem well looked after, and my loved one has settled in well.
I have worked with the geriatric population for the last 12 years. I enjoy working closely with our residents and being someone they know they can depend on for any needs they may have. Our chefs plan meals that are similar to ones that residents have prepared over the years. Fresh fruits and vegetables accompany every meal.
Our onsite medical director, psychologist, podiatrist, optometrist, dentist, and wound services assist in the decrease for the need of outside appointments. When the need for transportation does occur, we are able to provide for that need with our Astoria Place bus. In addition, transportation is also available for field trips and shopping. You will be tasked with helping patients with personal hygiene, minor medical needs, housekeeping, and other daily needs as required by the patient.
However, they're just letting people in now. I wish they had individualized the visiting more and... Really appreciate the caring and compassionate staff. Huge improvement over where our loved one was at the previous place.
Residents of Brewster Parke are able to enjoy daily local activities like walks around nearby Lake Brewster or a quick train trip up to Akron for a day of shopping and dining. The community was nice, bright, had big hallways, and is was clean. The dining staff tried to accommodate my mom's food requests. The staff tried really hard and went out of the way for my mom. We chose this community because is was close to our family.
Our attentive staff take the time to always ensure that residents are paired with roommates/companions that will complement each individuals’ stay at our facility. We are also able to accommodate for the needs of married couples. All rooms are fresh, pleasant and cleaned daily.
